This report gives the result of a baseline survey of the Manulla River undertaken for Belcarra Tidy Towns
in September and December 2021. Biological surveys of the river’s macroinvertebrates and aquatic
plants at four sites along the Belcarra stretch of the Manulla River were undertaken. The
hydromorphological status of the river stretch is also considered. Historical information on the water
quality of the river is also provided and discussed – both biological and physico-chemical results were
available.
